walk the beat

This book was hitting it out of the park...till the drama at the end. I'm not a spoiler type of girl so I'll keep it vague, as usual. The way things unfolded left me unsatisfied and seemed highly unrealistic. I get that things like this happen all the time and life goes on, but come on?! You're over it the same day. And the parties involved suffer no ramifications?! That's a hard pill for me to swallow. Something like that is life altering and beyond humiliating and the way it was dealt with just wasn't enough. For the most part, the book was really enjoyable. Book boys who are jerks is one of my weaknesses. Tate's monologue was probably my favorite part of the entire book. I had to go back and read it again and I cried both times.
